Over Rs3 billion has been contributed by Pakistanis for flood-affected families, showing their generous hearts for their fellow citizens in this hour of need.

Pakistan, according to the PTI Chief, makes up less than 1% of the world's carbon footprint, while being one of the nations most severely impacted by climate change. Imran Khan claimed that by not constructing more dams, we have led ourselves into the disaster.

The PTI Chief stated at the beginning of the telethon that over 33 million people have been seriously affected by the floods, making the situation worse than the floods of 2010. He continued that during this challenging moment, the country will need to unite.

Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, raised more than Rs 5 billion at the first telethon for flood relief efforts. The event's moderator, Senator Faisal Javed Khan, said that during a 3-hour flood telethon, the former prime minister raised more than Rs5 billion in donations.

According to Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, the nation has suffered serious infrastructure, life, and property losses totaling close to $18 billion as a result of devastating floods.

According to Imran Khan, Sania Nishtar is in charge of the telethon funds. According to Sania Nishtar, the received money would be divided among the impacted households using information from the Ehsaas programme.

In the first telethon, Imran Khan was joined by celebrities, other politicians, and the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pervaiz Elahi and Mahmood Khan, as well as Sania Nishtar, the former premier's former social protection assistant.
