THE CIRCULAR DEBT OF PAKISTAN IS RS2.253 TRILLION.



 ISLAMABAD: According to ARY News, Pakistan's circular debt has been lowered by 564 billion rupees by payments made to the power plants during the most recent fiscal year.


Even after paying Rs564 billion to power plants, the country's circular debt currently stood at Rs2.253 trillion, according to statistics.


According to sources speaking to ARY News, the CPEC's power projects have a debt that exceeds Rs220 billion. In June, they continued, the government paid back Rs. 50 billion for the CPEC power project.


According to further sources, investors in CPEC's power projects have voiced concerns about the growing circular debt. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) also voiced opposition to pricey power plants at the same time.


The federal government has stated that the CPEC power project's circular date will finish. According to further sources, the government has promised to pay the CPEC power project if energy prices are decreased.
