IMRAN KHAN IS PROPOSED TO HAVE ANOTHER CASE FILED AGAINST HIM IN LAHORE COURT.

LAHORE: According to ARY News on Tuesday, Muzaffar Hussain, a resident of Lahore, has filed a complaint with the sessions court against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan over his remarks on the nomination of the army chief.

The petitioner asked the court for permission to file a complaint against PTI leader Imran Khan for his remarks at the public event in Faisalabad against the nomination of the army chief.

According to the petition, Khan made a risky remark about the leader of a sensitive institution and tried to incite an uprising there. The petitioner requested that a case be registered against the PTI chairman by the Lahore court.

The hearing was postponed until September 19 after the sessions court requested a response from the police department.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority's (Pemra) decision to forbid the live telecast of PTI Chairman Imran Khan's addresses was previously overturned by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), filed a petition contesting the Pemra ban against his live talks. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah gave a three-page written decision on the petition.

The court noted in a written decision that PEMRA's attorney was unable to persuade the court that section 27 of the PEMRA Ordinance permitted the issuance of a general ban order.

The verdict also states that PEMRA "would be expected to move against such delinquent licensees in accordance with the law" if media outlets "fail to execute orders about delaying mechanism."

Imran Khan's attorneys filed the appeal, asking the court to overturn the ban imposed by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on the live telecast of speeches.

According to the plea, Imran "had demanded to take legal action against individuals involved while referring to the violence against party member Shahbaz Gill."
