DOUBLE TERRORISTS CTD SUKKUR ARRESTED

SUKKUR: Two alleged terrorists connected to a prohibited group were detained by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sukkur officers during a raid near Khairpur, according to ARY News on Tuesday.

In a statement, the CTD spokesperson said that two "terrorists," Aziz Domki and Mitha Khan Makki, had been captured during an operation close to Khairpur. Both people "were engaged in anti-state activities and trained in terrorism in Afghanistan."

The accused men were professionals at installing explosives and IEDs, the official further stated. It was discovered that the suspects were also engaged in brainwashing regular people in various locations so they would travel to Afghanistan.

The suspected terrorists were also responsible for supplying explosives to several locations throughout Sindh province.

The CTD had earlier in August asserted that it had detained two Hyderabad-based members of the banned Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA).

The arrests were made in Hyderabad during a CTD raid. According to the CTD, Azhar Ahmed, a member of the SRA, was involved in a blast in 2014 along a railway line in Gambat, Sindh.

Azhar destroyed a trans machine line in Larkana in 2015, and in 2016, he engaged in terrorism by planning explosive stuff inside of a bicycle.
