Jaranwala: When the security personnel briefly left the van unattended outside a private bank, a van driver from Gojra took off with the van loaded with cash, according to ARY News.
The van driver, who took advantage of the security personnel's negligence, the police said, fled with a vehicle loaded with Rs47.1 million in cash. The van was discovered close to Chak 109, but the cash box's locks were smashed and it was missing its cash. The police informed them that the van driver was a Gojra native.
The PCO has mandated that checkpoints be set up in order to detain the van driver and that Superintendent of Police (SP) Jaranwala provide a report on the incident as soon as feasible.
